Construction Manager

Our client, an innovative public corporation, is expanding their winning team by looking for a Construction Manager . The contract duration will be 12 months

• Assist the Senior Construction Manager in managing the development of capital works projects at Hong Kong Science Park
• Oversee project administration and monitor the performance of the resident site team, consultants, contractors, and project safety
• Act as an emergency coordinator, responding to emergency calls and taking necessary action during non-working hours
• Handle the vetting of technical submissions prepared by consultants or contractors
• Liaise and coordinate with the project team, facility management team, and external stakeholders, including government departments and utility companies
• Attend site meetings, conduct daily site inspections, witness on-site and off-site tests, and prepare site reports regarding project progress, quality, and safety
• Maintain daily site records and site documentation
• Travel to or be stationed in the PRC on a regular basis as required

• A Bachelor’s degree or above in civil / structural / building engineering or related discipline;
• Membership in civil / structural / building discipline or equivalent of a recognized professional institute;
• At least 8 years of post-qualification working experience in construction engineering or related disciplines;
• Experience in working at main contractor or managing large scale multi-disciplinary projects from inception, construction to handover including claims and EOT assessment is an advantage;
• Proven record of the development of R&D offices, industrial buildings and institutional buildings;
• Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for project development in Hong Kong;
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for lower position.
