Place of Work: Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence (Shau Kei Wan)


Working Period: 1 November 2024 - 31 October 2025 (9:00-17:00 / 10:00-18:00), Day Off at Thursday, 5 Days work (Monday to Sunday, Shift duty)


Salary: $25-28K


Responsibilities

1. To assist in managing the Museum's docents, including but not limited to arranging advance booking of docents, checking attendance of the docents, arranging replacement of docents if necessary, and arranging annual renewal of docents' membership.


2. To conduct introductory/guided tours to the public and visiting groups at scheduled and pre-booked time slots in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.


3. To attend to visitors' enquiries and needs, and to handle telephone enquiries.


4. To assist in devising and organising and running education and extension activities as well as logistic support at the Museum, including hands-on activities, public lectures, booking of vehicles, outreach programmes, arranging delivery and collection of travelling exhibition panels


5. To assist in preparing and editing educational and publicity materials.








Experience


Education

1. Bachelor degree or above (major in subjects of history, humanities, anthropology, cultural studies are desirable)


2. Possess level 2 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in HKDSE or equivalent.


3. Minimum five (5) years full time working experience in customer service, among which at least four (4) years should be under museum setting (experience in docent service is preferable)


4. Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.


5. Have good knowledge and command in computer applications, including but not limited to Chinese Word Processing, Microsoft Word and Excel and Presentation software.


6. Good communication and presentation skills, responsible and hardworking, enjoying team work and capable of working independently under pressure.


7. Good at organising and monitoring projects, being patient and attentive to logistics arrangement and statis
