[Athlete@Adecco] Camille's Journal - 5
November 2, 2017
The past couple of months have been busy balancing swimming, work and now school! I started a master’s program in industrial-organizational psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in September. Inspired by my athletic background and experience with the Adecco Athlete Career Program so far, I have developed an interest in finding ways to bridge these two aspects together. I’m excited that my studies will allow me to further explore how to apply, translate and share components from my athletic experiences to different aspects of the workplace. I was able to briefly share these thoughts when I met Senior Vice President of the IOC and IPC Athlete Career Program, Patrick Glennon, earlier last month. Patrick encouraged me to continue challenging myself and to keep learning.
August continued to be busy as I was traveling for swimming competitions. Upon returning, I had a couple of guest speaking opportunities. I talked to Lingnan University students about passion, dealing with stress and finding a balance. Most recently, I had a sharing session with Adecco colleagues sharing similar content on dealing with stress and finding a balance. It was encouraging hearing positive feedback - Thank you to everyone who attended!
I’m currently settling into my new office working with the marketing team and looking forward to finding ways that I can contribute and continue learning.
Happy Halloween!
Camille
