Senior Merchandiser / Merchandiser

Our client, a reputable trading company in Hong Kong is looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser/Merchandiser to join their team, with a focus on the Home/Seasonal Decor sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Source a variety of seasonal and novelty items
• Collaborate with suppliers, factories, and internal teams such as Sales and Design Departments to conduct various sourcing activities
• Participate in sourcing projects, including identifying new suppliers and visiting factories
• Provide ad hoc support to the team
• Travel predominantly to the Asia Pacific , mainly to the mainland China

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher in any field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Merchandising/Trading Industry and experience in Home/ Seasonal Decor
• Experience in sourcing products and product development for US/EU customers
• Proficiency in various materials, including ceramic, resin, glass, Polynesian, etc.
• Strong command of written Chinese, English, and spoken Mandarin
• Organized, self-motivated, and open to challenges
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capable of meeting deadlines
• willing to work overtime
